We propose a mountain hunt in its purest state in the rugged areas of the French Pre-Pyrenees. This is a destination for those seeking an authentic, wild, and demanding hunt, far from enclosures and conveniences. The terrain is a puzzle of dense forests and rocky cliffs that greatly complicates the location of animals, turning each shot into a true triumph. Being 100% wild hunting in the open, it is an experience without total guarantees, designed for true mountain enthusiasts.

Physical Demands and Shooting Technique: Due to the very orography of the terrain, this hunt requires mental preparation for a tough challenge:

The Physical: It is highly recommended to have adequate physical condition to move through rugged areas. If physical condition is more limited, the hunter must compensate by being able to take shots at extreme distances.
The Shot: It is essential to have practice and confidence in long shots. Shooting opportunities below 250 meters are very rare. Additionally, the hunter must be accustomed to shooting in the mountains, mastering shots with a lot of incline (steep angles both up and down). We recommend traveling with the hunter's own rifle as these are complicated shots in most cases. Easy to reach by car which facilitates this process.

Trophy and Hunting Philosophy

We hunt without point limits. There is a real possibility of taking specimens with exceptional trophies without surprises in the final price. However, given the enormous toughness of the hunting ground and the unpredictability of the mountain, we insist and highly recommend taking advantage of the opportunities that any adult and representative animal may provide. In this terrain, letting a good Isard pass while waiting for a giant can mean returning home empty-handed.

Dates and Best Time:

General season: Until February 28 (with the possibility of extending a week in specific hunting grounds).
Recommended dates: All of November and early December. Coincides with the rut, the activity is frantic and it is the ideal time to encounter the big males.

EXTRAS and Additional Services:

Hunting day (1x1): 200€ / day (We recommend hunting at least 2 days to ensure success and enjoy the experience).
Group hunting day (2x1): 150€ / day per hunter.
Second adult Rebeco (Without point limits): 1,900€.
French hunting license and management: 150€.
Rifle and ammunition rental: 50€ / day.
Airport transfer (Toulouse) - Hunting area: 170€ / trip.

Tips.

Wounded and unrecovered animal: Any wounded animal (confirming the presence of blood or other clear signs of impact) that cannot be recovered will be considered, for all purposes, as an animal taken. In this case, the base package will be considered fulfilled or, if it is an extra animal, its fee must be paid in full (€2,100).
Recovery commitment: In the event of any shot with suspected impact, our team of professional guides will stop the hunt and do everything humanly and technically possible (thorough tracking) to trace and recover the hunter's trophy.
