Driven Hunt in Valdelayegua de la Casa
Cáceres, Cáceres, España
Driven Hunt in Valdelayegua de la Casa. In the heart of the Sierra de San Pedro, Valdelayegua, located south of the town of Aliseda in Cáceres, offers good driven hunts. Made up of a rugged sierra of rockroses, holm oaks, and strawberry trees, along with an immense dehesa of cork oaks, it is a paradise for game fauna where deer and wild boars find their home and sustenance, even mouflons that have been conquering the area in recent years. Currently divided into several parts, this time the area to be hunted is the part of the Casa. This patch will be hunted with no more than thirty stands, all of them with natural shooting lanes, many of them with shots from paths or trails, where attention must be maintained throughout the driven hunt while listening to the sounds of barking and running in the thick of the woods. Hunters will go without a quota for deer and wild boar, also being able to take down mouflons, in a day that will surely be remembered fondly.
