Tiguent, Mauritania (1h 30 min – 2 hours from Nuakchot airport).

Opens on November 1 and closes on March 31.
TYPE OF HUNTING
Stalking, waiting, and making small “hooks.” Hunting is always done in teams of 2 hunters per vehicle. Hunters will be accompanied by a driver and another person to assist with the entire hunt.

AVAILABLE HUNTING EQUIPMENT
Hunters can bring their weapons without issue but can also rent rifles available at the camp. To bring their rifles, we need them to send information about the weapons they will carry to obtain the weapon import permits. This is done without issue but must be done at least 1 month in advance. The rifles available for rent would be:
- 2 rifles caliber 300WM
- 2 rifles 270
- Bullets. The bullets would be paid for directly there
HUNTING SCHEDULES
Departure at 5 am to be in the hunting area around 6/6:30 and hunt until 10:30/11 am.
In the afternoon, hunting is from 17:00 to 19:00 (when it gets dark)
No hunting at night.
You can return to the camp at noon to rest and go out again after lunch, or stay in an area that will be set up in the field where the cook will organize the food.
CARS:
Toyota Hilux in very good condition, perfect for this type of hunting.
GUIDES:
There are very professional and friendly guides.
The guides only speak French or Arabic, but as they are getting more Spanish hunters, they are understanding each other better.
There will be a Spanish person (hunter) managing the camp there available for the hunters.
CAMP:
A luxury in the middle of nowhere. A complex of 40,000 square meters with all the comforts of a 4/5* hotel.
Behind there are some desert dunes that can be visited
- Very spacious rooms/bungalows with double beds and private bathrooms
- Air conditioning in all rooms
- Hot water
- No bugs or mosquitoes, and depending on the season, there are more or fewer flies
- Starlink with repeaters in the room areas
- Pool (it is being newly built, but it will be ready for the start of the season).
- Excellent food (the cook is the star of the camp)
- Soft drinks and non-alcoholic beers included
- More pleasant temperatures than in hunting areas, being closer to the coast, and with humidity at night (it can even cool down)
Tiguent: The camp is located just a few meters from this village, which has a supermarket and clinic in case of any emergency
Beach: 20-25 minutes from the camp is the beach, very pristine and usually run by fishermen (note, the sea is the Atlantic Ocean, not like the Caribbean)
Fresh fish/seafood is bought to cook at the camp.
FLIGHTS AND PROGRAM
Arrival times so far are at night, both from Las Palmas and from Casablanca (11-12 at night)
Visa is processed directly upon arrival and must be paid in cash 55€
The idea is for hunters to spend the first night in a hotel in Nuakchot to arrive and rest, and they will be picked up the next morning to hunt in the afternoon. This hotel is not included in the price and is paid directly by the hunter.
