Located in the heart of the largest dove roost in western Uruguay, Samaria offers unparalleled access. Doves fly all day directly over the lodge, while most shooting positions are just a few minutes away. In many cases, hunters can simply walk to their stands.

The partridge hunting at Samaria is legendary. For over 30 years, our team — personally led by Héctor Sarasola — has provided one of the most refined small game hunting experiences in Uruguay. The hunts are conducted behind exceptionally trained Brittany dogs, considered among the best working dogs in South America.

The lodge features three spacious rooms, each with a private bathroom, air conditioning, and the charm and comfort of a classic Uruguayan estancia.

Each day begins with breakfast at 7:30 AM, followed by a brief 30-minute transfer to the partridge fields.

Hunters enjoy gently rolling terrain for approximately 1.5 hours — usually more than enough to reach the generous quotas of 20+ birds per dog for two hunters.

Upon returning to the lodge, guests relax with cocktails and a gourmet lunch, followed by the traditional siesta.
