Hunting Tur of Dagestan in Russia

Hunting area:

The hunting area is located in the Southwest of Daghestan near the border with Azerbaijan in the heart of the Caucasus, where there are good densities and high quality of Turs (Capra cylindricornis). Trophies exceeding 90cm are often seen, as there is much less hunting pressure in the Russian part. This is an EXCLUSIVE AREA with very good density and high-quality Tur trophies.

Unlike the areas in Azerbaijan, these areas are somewhat more comfortable, but still, the hunter must be in good physical condition.

The minimum shooting distance is between 250 and 350 meters to make a long or very long-distance shot depending on each hunter, so we advise the hunter to be prepared to make distant shots.

This is a very demanding hunt, so the hunter must have great physical condition and be accustomed to hunting in high mountain areas, as we will be hunting at altitudes of 3,000/3,700 meters. Likewise, we will make transfers on foot and even during the night, for the location and positioning for the take of this precious and prestigious high mountain trophy.

Hunting season: August 1 to November 30

The hunt begins from the fly camp, where normally a transfer by car is made and then stalking begins on foot. This is a very demanding hunt where it is recommended to be in good physical shape.

Accommodation is in hunter shelters and tents.

Prices for 7 days with 5 days of hunting and 1 Tur trophy

Day 1: Flight to Makhachkala (via Istanbul or Moscow) and transfer by vehicle to the hunting area (about 5 hours), where upon arrival, we will be given a welcome dinner.

Day 2: Departure at 5:00 am on foot or horseback to the base camp at 3,000 meters where we will set up our tents depending on the time of year or we will come and go every day from the hotel, where the different herds of Turs are established.

Days 2 to 6: Hunt for 5 days

Day 7: Car transport to Makhachkala airport, where we will take the return flight and if there is time, lunch at a typical city restaurant.
