Driven Hunt in Valle del Viejas Solana del Buitre Negro

 Estate owned by the Arrate family, with approximately 900 hectares, located "opposite" Torneros. Its orography is similar to that of Torneros, but with an additional point of hardness and verticality. Estate located in the valley bathed by the Viejas river, giving it its name. The patches are located in a valley dotted with holm oaks, cork oaks, and oak forests, surrounded by very dense scrubland of rockrose, strawberry trees, and mastic trees. Its heights are framed by stone walls, making it as rugged as it is beautiful. All of this creates an ideal habitat for wild boars, mouflons, and deer. Typology of the driven hunts: Estate that we have been exploiting with mainly foreign hunters for 3 seasons. Last year we let half of the estate rest, which should be noticeable this year. My intention is to let approximately one third of the estate rest annually. We will hunt it in 6 drives with an average of between 11/15 positions. The generic quota will be 2 animals per day, maximum 1 game animal.
 Apart from the wild boars, there are deer and mouflons of average quality. We must shoot, to meet the quota, those deer with 10 or more points, as well as mouflons with the "curl" formed and adult wild boars (< 50 kgs). With these premises, we will find a group with some nice deer and mouflons (representative high ones and even some medal-worthy) and I believe around 15-25% of wild boars with tusks.
