Driven Hunt in Dehesa de Mortera – Sierra de San Pedro, Cáceres
Second of the driven hunts that will be held this season in the emblematic finca of Dehesa de Mortera, one of the most recognized areas of the Sierra de San Pedro and a reference for enthusiasts of driven boar hunting in Extremadura.
This is a finca with a marked boar-hunting vocation, characterized by its dense thickets of rockroses, scrub oaks, and strawberry trees, where the wild boars find refuge throughout the year and where there is always the possibility of encountering a specimen of great quality.
The finca has been managed and hunted by the same organization for over fifteen years, maintaining a consistent work line that is reflected in the magnificent results it offers season after season. Typically, between 30 and 40 wild boars are harvested, establishing itself as one of the most reliable driven hunts in the area for those who enjoy this species.
In addition to the wild boars, the day is used for population control through the culling of management does, with significant numbers often reached that contribute to the hunting balance of the finca.
