This season presents a very special opportunity in Valdehombre–La Agapita, as the traditional area of Valdehombre is joined this time by the riverside zone of La Agapita, considerably increasing the area to hunt and the expectations of a day full of shots and emotions.

Both estates are located in the heart of the Tajo Internacional, one of the most authentic and wild areas of Extremadura. The terrain combines an immense dehesa and extensive reforestation of cork oaks that, as they descend towards the river, give way to impressive ravines covered with scrub oaks, strawberry trees, and rockroses, an ideal refuge for the large boars that inhabit the area.

The estate also has a notable population of deer, with some high-quality stags typically being taken each season. The boars, for their part, find food, tranquility, and shelter here, becoming the main protagonists of a driven hunt that usually yields excellent results.

The stands are very varied and allow for different types of shots. We will find cutting stands, such as those located on the track, which despite their shorter shots offer a privileged view of the development of the driven hunt and the runs of the packs. Also noteworthy are the stands at the end or balcony in the lower part of the estate and the riversides, as well as comfortable natural positions in the reforestation areas.

Monteria muy entretenida de reses, algún jabalí pero esa mancha poco, nosotros no tuvimos suerte, pero el resultado fue el esperado

Me gusto la organización a la hora de salir al campo, ya que se esperaba calor y sobre las 8 y media estaban saliendo las armadas, también a la hora de recoger los animales del campo muy buen trabajo por parte de las organizaciones, y así no se estropeaban las reses

En la montería de valdelacasa no me gustó que en el “sorteo” de puestos ya estuviesen asignados los participantes a armadas determinadas. Solo se sorteó el puesto dentro de cada armada. En mi armada no vimos ni pasar una sola res. Ni una zorra. NADA.
