El coto tiene entorno a 15.000 hectáreas, con gran diversidad de vegetacion, desde inmensos pinares, sabinares centenarios, hasta frondosos robledales y encinares, respecto a la altitud media de dichos cotos es sobre 1.200 metros sobre el nivel del mar, la climatología es muy fría en invierno y templada en verano, con bastante precipitación. Debido a este clima se dan las circunstancias justas para que se desarrollen muy buenos corzos.
