Stalking of sika deer in France on an estate with a family castle from the 13th century with some of the most impressive species we can find in France. The estate is located near Pradinas.

The sika deer (Cervus sika nippon) is native to Japan. The Mikado (Japanese emperor) offered the first sika deer to France in 1890. Since then, the populations of French sika deer have increased significantly, and this species is now considered a French game species. The weight of this small deer species does not exceed 60 kg. The sika deer is a beautiful animal, black during the winter and brown with white spots during the summer. During the rut, from September to October, it whistles almost like a moose. Its antlers are filled with pearls and rarely have more than eight tines. In the hunting park of Laplanque, some sika deer have 10 to 12 tines.
