Stalking of Roe Deer in France 2027

Hunting in France in the Landes of Gascony!

For over 15 years, I have had the pleasure of stalking roe deer every season during the rut in the Landes of Gascony, accompanied by friends and my father. Today, I would like to share this experience with other hunting enthusiasts.

My hunting grounds in France offer a completely unique stalking experience in Europe, with medium levels of difficulty and exclusive maritime landscapes across vast territories of nearly 20,000ha. Hunting roe deer while listening to the Atlantic Ocean amidst immense pine forests grown atop white sand dunes is wonderful. Since last year, we can offer a village house with all the comfort and privacy we like, with two bedrooms, a barbecue, and a garden, just 5 minutes from the beach of the ocean village of Contis (GPS 44.0925366, -1.3272070). This allows for a hunting vacation experience in the morning and afternoon while enjoying the sea during the day.

The guides speak French, English, Spanish, and Portuguese.

We want to offer a flexible plan that allows you to enjoy a vacation in our region, providing access to our hunting guide services and our hunting grounds.

The price is per hunter and includes:

Logistics and transportation during the hunt:
The hunter will be accompanied at all times by an experienced guide, equipped with a tracking dog and a Land Rover vehicle for internal transportation through the different areas of the hunting ground. The hunter must travel by their own means to the exact location indicated beforehand by the guide, both for the morning and afternoon sessions. Once at the designated point at the agreed time, the guide will take over driving and transportation within the hunting ground.

No accommodation is offered under this plan, but our house can be rented. Please inquire. If hunters stay in our house, the hunter and the guide will depart from the same location to go hunting.

The hunter must have a valid French hunting license.

GUARANTEE AND COMPENSATION

- From four guided outings: We commit to offering the hunter at least one valid shooting opportunity on a young or selective male roe deer authorized for harvest. If no valid opportunity arises, we offer a refund of the tag cost or, at the hunter's choice, a voucher of 250€ for the following season.

- For two or three guided outings: We cannot guarantee a shooting opportunity. However, if no valid opportunity arises, we offer a refund of 100€ or, at the hunter's choice, a voucher of 125€ for the following season.

- For a single guided outing: No guarantee or compensation is offered. The amount of the contracted tag will be fully charged, regardless of the outcome of the hunt.

Note: A valid shooting opportunity is considered one in which the guide identifies and authorizes a roe deer that can be legally harvested, situated at a reasonable distance and under adequate safety conditions for the hunter. The opportunity is considered offered when these conditions are met, regardless of whether the hunter decides to shoot, misses the shot, or harvests the animal. In the case of a shot with a confirmed injury, no compensation will apply.

DIFFERENT HUNTING MODALITIES

-Individual: 1 hunter with their guide (1x1)
-Duo: 2 hunters accompanied by a guide (2x1)
-Group: up to 4 hunters, organized into two teams with one guide per duo (2x2).

The price does NOT include:
-Food and drinks during the outing
-Transportation between the hunting ground and the airport (Bordeaux Mérignac) or train station.
-Accommodation
-Weapon and ammunition
-Hunting license and French insurance
-Other special requests.

*OPTIONAL SERVICES*
-Preparation of game meat and trophy: 70€ (butchering, vacuum packing, delivery in a cooler, and skull preparation for taxidermy).
-Rifle rental (7x64 or .270WSM): 20€/day.
-Ammunition: 10€/cartridge.
-Additional tag for young or selective roe deer: 250€, subject to availability.
-Non-hunting companion (Only if booking 1x1): 45€ per day.
-Hunting license and insurance management for a 3-day stay: 120€.
-Private accommodation (inquire)

*Only available dates between July 15 and August 15, 2027, from Monday to Friday*. This is the optimal rutting period for roe deer in France. During the 2026 season, our territories recorded an average of one trophy roe deer shooting opportunity every two outings. This data reflects the hunting activity of our grounds, but this offer is exclusively for hunting young or selective males.
