Hunting of Bukhara Markhor in Tajikistan - 2026

Hunting period: October to February

The camp: The base camp consists of warm, clean hunter's houses with electricity and fly camps are also used during the hunt.

Hunting method: The hunt takes place at altitudes between 800 and 3,000 meters. 4x4 vehicles and sometimes horses are used for the hunting. During the day, Markhor are observed feeding on the hills, and once the trophy is located, the approach is made. The average shooting distance is between 400 and 700 meters.

The Bukhara Markhor (Capra falconeri heptneri), revered as the king of wild goats, dominates the stunning limestone cliffs of the Shamsiddin Shohin (Shurobod) district, located at altitudes between 800 and 3,000 meters.
