Driven Hunt in Mortera – Sierra de San Pedro, Cáceres
The finca of Mortera is one of the most emblematic patches of the foothills of the Sierra de San Pedro, a driven hunt with great tradition that season after season continues to offer magnificent results to big game enthusiasts.
This is a finca with a marked boar vocation, thanks to its extensive hills of rockroses, scrub oaks, and strawberry trees, which provide perfect refuge for a significant population of wild boars. Among its thickets, there is always the possibility of a quality surprise, turning each day into an exciting and unpredictable experience.
The area is cared for and managed throughout the year by an organization that has been hunting it for over three decades, which is reflected in the consistency of its results and the excellent state of conservation of the finca. Typically, between 30 and 40 wild boars are taken, figures that place it among the most notable boar driven hunts in the area.
During the day, there will also be control of management does, with numerous culls of females being common to maintain the balance of the populations.
The driven hunt will be held with 50 stands, all naturally situated and equipped with beautiful shooting lanes that will allow full enjoyment of the shots. The hunters will go without a quota for wild boars and does, and the culling of stags is not permitted.
Without a doubt, a magnificent opportunity to enjoy an authentic boar driven hunt in a historic finca, managed with care and located in one of the best hunting enclaves in Extremadura.
