Driven Hunt at El Moro – Encinasola, Huelva
The estate of El Moro, located in the municipality of Encinasola (Huelva) and belonging to the prestigious hunting ground of El Campillo Bajo, will be the setting for a magnificent day of driven hunting in one of the most beautiful and traditional areas of the region. A hunting ground well known for the quality of its game and for offering driven hunts with the purest mountain flavor.
The area is formed by an imposing mountain range dominated by a spectacular ravine that descends to a wide dehesa of oaks, creating a landscape of enormous beauty and a perfect habitat for deer and wild boars. The vegetation combines thick rockroses, strawberry trees, holm oaks, eucalyptus, and pine forests, while the numerous springs, small fountains, and large bramble bushes in the ravine provide water and shelter for the game throughout the year.
The positions are all natural and present very different shooting opportunities depending on their location. In the dehesa, wide shots between oaks predominate, comfortable and very safe, while in the mountains, hunters will enjoy exciting encounters on paths and clearings, with shorter and more intuitive shots that represent the essence of traditional driven hunting.
This is a particularly challenging area to hunt, so it is usually beaten with more than twenty packs of hounds, whose intense work is essential to drive the wild boars out of the thick brambles and move the game throughout the mountains.
The estate borders the prestigious Aliserillas, known for the extraordinary quality of their deer, a circumstance that makes El Moro a very attractive area for large game. Usually, if conditions are favorable, the quota tends to be around 15 deer and between 10 and 15 wild boars, reflecting the excellent hunting potential of this emblematic hunting ground.
Without a doubt, El Moro represents a true driven hunt in Sierra Morena, where tradition, the work of the hounds, and the quality of the game come together to offer an unforgettable day for lovers of open driven hunting.
