Driven Hunt in El Palancar – Burgo de Osma, Soria
Once again, one must travel to the province of Soria to enjoy an attractive mixed driven hunt of red deer and wild boar at the estate of El Palancar, located near the town of Burgo de Osma.
This estate has a strong hunting personality, characterized by steep topography, winding undulations, and a Mediterranean forest dominated by kermes oaks, wild olives, and dense refuge areas where deer and wild boars find an ideal habitat. With nearly 1,000 hectares, El Palancar offers exceptional conditions for traditional driven hunting.
The day usually takes place with 10 or 12 packs of hounds, among the most recognized in the area, responsible for driving the game towards the various stands. To close the area, around 50 positions will be arranged, all of them natural and carefully placed over the usual trails and preferences of the game.
The shooting spots vary according to the location of each stand within the driven hunt, with medium-type positions predominating, comfortable and safe, allowing for numerous shots throughout the day.
Hunters will attend without a limit on deer or wild boars, in a driven hunt where the stag usually takes on a special prominence thanks to the good presence of deer inhabiting the estate, not forgetting the opportunities on wild boars that complete a very full and entertaining day.
The combination of a spectacular environment, a high hunting tradition, and the appeal of hunting two of the most emblematic species of big game makes El Palancar a very interesting event for any enthusiast.
Without a doubt, a magnificent opportunity to enjoy an authentic Sorian driven hunt filled with excitement and great expectations.
