Driven hunt in the tough and emblematic estate of La Granja, located between Jerez de los Caballeros and its district of Brovales, an area predominantly known for wild boar and highly recognized among fans of driven hunts in the open.
The estate is made up of a dense thicket of kermes oaks, old rockroses, wild olives, scrub, strawberry trees, and large bramble bushes, creating a perfect refuge for the wild boar. Presided over by its characteristic farmhouse in the shape of a castle, it also features numerous ponds and is fed by the streams of Pontón, a branch of Castaño, and the stream of La Granja itself.
Its terrain, consisting of two ridges and an immense valley where a large sowing takes place each year, turns this estate into a true paradise for the wild boar, which find in its dense underbrush the ideal place to lie down.
Hunting is usually done with 38 stands, all of them natural, with medium to short shooting distances, placed in a completely safe manner. The map of the driven hunt consists of six enclosures and two crosspieces, in an area where the wild boar always makes it difficult for both dogs and hunters.
